Make informed decisions.

The whole process behind webdesign and marketing can be pretty confusing to the layman and veteran alike. That's why we've gathered together some of the more commonly received questions about our business to help decipher some of the "tech-lingo".

If your question is not addressed by the links to the right, please contact us, and we will do our best to find an answer.

How do I begin a project with CCS?

The first step is always to drop us a line. Even if you aren't sure yet about the specifics of your project, we can at least let you know what we'll need to begin work on our end. (We've done projects based on client "napkin doodles" before!)

Are there any "up-front" fees?

Only for our "flat rate" services, where we ask for a 10-50% (non-refundable) deposit before beginning work. There is no deposit required for our hourly rate services.

Do you offer any satisfaction guarantee?

Of course! Plenty of opportunities for revision are included in each service, and our designers will only proceed to the next step of each job after getting approval from you. Making sure that you are happy with the finished design is our top priority!

If for some reason we are unable to provide what you are looking for, you may discontinue using our services, free of charge.

Who owns the rights, regarding intellectual property and such, to the finished design?

You do. When you commission CCS to create a design for you, you are only paying for our time. The actual finished product or design is yours.

The only right we reserve is to be able to display your finished design in our portfolio.

When is payment expected for my project, and how do I pay?

Payment is due upon delivery of the finished design. In the case of websites, we will invoice you right before uploading your site to your server or host. We will send you an electronic invoice, and an additional "hardcopy" duplicate if necessary.

We accept payment by check or money order, or by credit/debit card through PayPal.

I've heard that Flash websites are very slow loading, is this true?

The "slow-loading" nature of some Flash sites are the fault of their designers. Often times, they go overboard with embedding so many sounds, images, and music that they forget that not everyone will be viewing their site on ultra-fast internet connections. This can be countered with sufficient knowledge of the workings of Flash, and careful testing during the creation of the animation.

If you make a website for me, do I need to know how to program to update it?

Although we believe it is helpful to understand how your site works, no, you don't need to know HTML. Because we hand-code our pages in pure HTML, you can easily use our pages with any of the off-the-shelf webpage editing software.
